Sister Communities of San Ramón, Nicaragua (SCSRN) is looking for a music intern with skills in jazz, small band ensembles and teaching to work with the San Ramón, Nicaragua Municipal Band. The intern must speak Spanish and be willing to stay at least 2 weeks in SanRamón.
The band is a group of 15 enthusiastic teenagers and young adults with varying music skills from very good to beginner. The instruments the band plays are horns - trumpet, tuba and trombone, percussion - drums, maracas and cymbals, winds - tenor sax, flute, clarinet.The band currently has a music school, practices regularly and plays in the region at least once a month. SCSRN helps the all volunteer band by providing instruments and practice space.
SCSRN can provide the intern room and board in San Ramón and will assist in grant applicationsfor additional funding for airfare etc. For further information, contact: Lonna Harkrader at info@san-ramon.org or 919-489-1656.

Please join our monthly meeting the 4th Monday of each month at 7:30pm:, January through October, at the Eno River Unitarian Fellowship, 4907 Garrett Road, Durham (on the left 1/2 mile from Darryls and 15-501), North Carolina. Our annual retreat when we set goals and objectives for the coming year and evaluate the effectiveness of our work during the past year is in November.
